The personal data collected in the registry are used for communication with the members of the Salaojayhdistys and others interested in the association’s activities.

The data stored in the registry are obtained from the map order and newsletter subscription forms on the website and from the PDF forms sent to us by the customer, such as:

- Street address
- Mailing address
- Email address
The salaojayhdistys.fi website does not use plugins that collect visitor information.
- Regular sources of information
The source of information for the registry is the forms found on the salaojayhdistys.fi website.
- Regular disclosures and transfer of data outside the EU or EEA
Information received through the map order form is disclosed to a local partner of the association, who delivers the map to the subscriber. The data is disclosed based on the geographical location of the map according to a table presented on the website. Data is not transferred outside the EU or EEA.
- Principles for protecting the registry
Care is taken in the processing of the registry, and data processed using IT systems are adequately protected. When registry data is stored on internet servers, the physical and digital security of their equipment is appropriately taken care of.
The controller ensures that stored data, as well as server access rights and other critical information for the security of personal data, are handled confidentially and only by employees whose job description includes it. Manual material is handled carefully, and the data is stored in a locked filing cabinet.
- Right of inspection and the right to demand correction of data
Every person in the registry has the right to check the data stored about them and to demand that incorrect data be corrected or incomplete data be completed. If a person wishes to check the data stored about them or demands corrections, the request must be sent in writing to the controller. The controller may ask the requester to prove their identity if needed. The controller will respond to the customer within the time specified in the EU Data Protection Regulation (usually within one month).
- Other rights related to the processing of personal data
Persons in the registry have the right to request the deletion of their personal data from the registry (“right to be forgotten”). They also have other rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, such as the right to limit the processing of personal data in certain situations. Requests must be sent in writing to the controller. The controller may ask the requester to prove their identity if needed. The controller will respond to the customer within the time specified in the EU Data Protection Regulation (usually within one month).
- About cookies
We use the so-called cookie function, i.e., cookies, on our pages. A cookie is a small text file sent to and stored on the user’s computer that allows the website administrator to identify frequent visitors, facilitate visitor logging into the site, and compile aggregate information about visitors.
